Boozy Mint Iced Mocha
Did you know today is National Mint Chocolate Day? It is one of the foodie holidays I make sure to pay attention to. I mean… who doesn’t love mint chocolate, especially if it has a boozy kick!
The weather is already heating up in Phoenix, with 90 degree temps in February. Yes, that early! Can you imagine what July is going to like? So when the girls said they were stopping by for cocktails this afternoon I knew it had to be something chilled.
A Boozy Mint Iced Mocha was just what we needed to kick off the weekend. After a quick tour of the new casa, we settled out back to catch up and enjoy a cocktail.
Last fall Paul and I celebrated #NationalChocolateMilkshakeDay with delicious, frosty Boozy Mint Chocolate Milkshakes made with Brancamenta, a gift from my friends at the Fratelli Branca Distillery, so I knew it would be perfect in today’s cocktail extravaganza.
The high-quality, natural half-bitter liqueur has a proprietary blend of 40 herbs and spices, including cardamom and chamomile, that is aged for 12 months in Slovenian oak barrels. A delicious combo with chocolate!
How are you celebrating #NationalMintChocolateDay?
- 8 ounces cold coffee
- 4 ounces mocha coffee creamer
- 3 ounce Brancamenta mint liqueur
- Whipped cream for garnish, optional
- Chocolate sauce for garnish, optional
- Add coffee, creamer, liqueur and ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously. Strain into an ice filled glass.
- Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
