1 12oz package FARMER JOHN® MILD JALAPEÑO BACON*
¾ cup dark brown sugar
1-2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1. Mix brown sugar and fresh ground black pepper in a bowl. Add bacon and toss until evenly coated. Set aside.
2. Spray an oven safe baking rack with non-stick cooking spray and place over a foil lined baking sheet.
3. Lay coated bacon on the baking rack & place in the oven.
4. Turn the oven to 400 degrees and cook for 30-35 minutes until bacon is slightly crispy. Do not over cook; the brown sugar will harden as it cools.
**If you don’t have jalapeño bacon add ½-1 tsp. cayenne pepper to brown sugar instead.
***Cooking the bacon on a baking rack with allow air to circulate, making the bacon really crispy.
