This is a versatile dressing very similar to ranch dressing. I love the tanginess combined with the herby goodness. Use less buttermilk for a thicker dipping sauce and more for a thinner dressing. It is perfect on salads, potato/pasta salad or as a dipping sauce for wings/pretzels/fried cheese sticks, etc.
In fact, expect to see it used in a new recipe coming up shortly~ Roasted Green Bean Potato Salad!
1 cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
2-4 tbsp buttermilk
¼-½ cup finely diced garlic chives
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp mustard powder
2 tsp. fresh dill, finely chopped
¼ tsp. red pepper flake
Salt and pepper taste
1. Whisk all ingredients except buttermilk together in a small bowl. Add buttermilk slowly until the dressing reaches the desired consistency.
