  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Use a wooden spoon to break up the sausage into crumbles.

  2. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the flour is well incorporated and slightly toasted.

  3. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook the gravy over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and comes to a gentle boil.

  4. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed.

  5. Reduce the heat to low and let the gravy simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Serve the sausage gravy hot over biscuits.
