Detox Raw Apple Cider Vinaigrette Recipe
Do you ever wonder why we wait until January to embrace healthy goals, particularly better eating habits? I completely understand we need to detox after the gluttony of the holidays, but what about the rest of the year? TBH we like to do a little pre-holiday menu makeover and this year it’s been a welcome break after weeks of travel.
I realize it is tailgate season so once you stop shoving those chicken wings in your face read up on the health benefits of raw apple cider vinegar. Basically the stuff is good for you. It’s not going to be a miracle cure-all, but it’s better for you than that chicken wing you are still gnawing on. So make a batch of this Raw Apple Cider Vinaigrette. You could probably get away with marinating those chicken wings in it too. Stuff is damn versatile.
When you go shopping for this recipe be sure to get RAW apple cider vinegar. It’s the cloudy, murky looking stuff with ‘Mother’ cultures in it. We use the popular brand with the yellow label for every day detox. Just mix 16 ounces filtered water with 2 teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and 2-3 lemon slices. Some crazy people skip the water and just do straight shots of the stuff. That is super hard core in my book but each to their own.
