Ripe, juicy strawberries are perfectly balanced with a hint of honey and just a bit of spiciness from seasonal jalapeno peppers. Fresh thyme and a balsamic reduction round out this farmers market sourced recipe. Pair with creamy Stella® Fresh Mozzarella Cheese and lightly grilled bread for a summer appetizer your friends will rave about!
Strawberry Jalapeno Bruschetta
The flavor combo of strawberry and jalapeno is a personal favorite. It’s sweet and spicy, which is basically the best of two worlds. I just can’t pass up on fresh berries at the farmers market. So we end up snacking on everything from my Strawberry Pico de Gallo to this Strawberry Jalapeno Bruschetta all summer long!
You can easily make this recipe in about 10 minutes. I lightly oiled the bread and toasted the pieces in a grill pan on the stovetop. Just dice the berries and jalapeno while the bread gets a good crisp to it. I’ve even been known to use jalapeno infused olive oil AND a strawberry balsamic reduction to really enhance the flavors of this Strawberry Jalapeno Bruschetta. Really though slices of Stella® Fresh Mozzarella Cheese is what brings it all together! Top the toasted bread with cheese while still warm so it melts just a little bit.
