Thank you to my friends at World Market for sponsoring this Blackberry Flaugnarde post. Step up your Sunday brunch with a tender fruit-filled Blackberry Flaugnarde. Traditionally serve as a dessert in France, this rich dish is made of a thick flan-like batter poured over fruit then baked to golden perfection!
I love love love my cast iron skillet. Recipes like simple weeknight skillet pastas, crispy pan-fried chicken and fluffy custard-like Dutch Baby pancakes bring joy to my taste buds. You can use them on the stove top, pop ’em in the oven and even cook over an open fire. The ingredients for this Blackberry Flaugnarde are so easy to prepare because you make the batter in the blender. Then just pour it over your favorite seasonal fruit. You could use anything from berries to stone fruit like peaches or apricots. And don’t forget the toppings! I like a simple sprinkle of confectioners sugar, but you could drizzle it with honey, jam or a dollop of whipped cream. Add your favorite mimosa ingredients for a stunningly simple brunch your whole crew will love!
