So, recently the missus attended a Twitter party, sponsored by Applegate Natural & Organic Meats, and won a box of swag. They sent her a t-shirt, bandanas, ball cap, water bottle and other cool stuff with the Applegate logo. In the box, along with all the other cool toys, was a copy of Farming Simulator 15 for Xbox 360.
Also there was a really cool fold-up backpack made of 95% post-consumer plastic with room for all the non-sharpened zombie gear a guy can carry (it folds up into a little zippered pouch making it easy for emergencies too). I was so impressed with everything.
You should see the stuff she gets in the mail, we are officially on a first name basis with the UPS guy! I’m thinkin’ I need to take this girl to the casino and try our luck at the slots. Fortunately, I am not much of a gambler. It tends to get old when you suck at it.
Anyway, score one for The Lazy Man and a new video game. Now, this is not a game I would typically buy, but I’m glad to have the experience to try it out.
I LOVE playing city builders…games that are on-going; construct buildings, upgrading them, researching technology and in some cases training troops for battles. However, these types of games are not common on the Xbox platform, so I mostly get my fix on my Android phone and tablet.
Farming Simulator 15 is, in some ways, a builder. The object is simply to take a farm from its early beginning and grow it into a multi-million dollar business by growing, harvesting and selling various crops, raising livestock and cultivating lumber. These tasks are all based on modern farming techniques and equipment. They have a Lamborghini tractor!

The game takes some time, a lot of patience and can be difficult starting out. Stick through the frustration and be rewarded. Once you are aware of which tractors do which jobs, you’re good to go. Have you played this game before? What tips do you have?
