How To Make Chipotle-Cherry Barbecue Glaze
With hints of ketchup and cider vinegar, amp up juicy grilled meat with this smoky and sweet barbecue glaze made from chipotle chile and cherries.

- 2tbspunsalted butter
- 1onion
- 8ozcherry preserves,(¾ cup)
- ¼cupchipotle chile in adobo sauce,seeded, minced
- ¼cupketchup
- ¼cupcider vinegar
Instructions

In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the onion and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 6 minutes until softened.

Add the remaining ingredients and cook over moderate heat, stirring, for about 5 minutes longer until bubbling. Transfer the mixture to a food processor and process until fairly smooth. Transfer to a bowl and let cool before using.
